Master Cleanse Day 21, 22, & 23

Day 21 – I read in a book that one really doesn’t get the full benefits of a cleansing diet until after they hit day 21.  So this is my day!  I still feel on top of the world.  I feel close to my husband, children, and most importantly to Heavenly Father.  I feel that angels are assisting me in hard times and that I am being watched over.  Most of all I am grateful today.

Day 22 – I kept busy yesterday, took my daughter to Seattle for a new summer wardrobe.  We had a blast together!  I was truely in the moment with her the entire day.  Normally there would be a distraction at hand or I would think about what I had to get done–and I never really lived in the moment of happiness.  I am learning that now.  Actually, breaking my addiction with food has helped me.  I don’t know what has made the difference but maybe perspective?  At any rate I am happier than I have been in years.

Today I woke up and (this is gross so do not read if you have a weak stomach) I went to the bathroom.  Now usually my number two’s are liquidy with grainy poop.  I do poop a lot every day.  But this morning my poop was a semi solid huge waste.  Day 22 and a pretty solid bowel movement?  Wow, I am so glad that came out of me.  It was also very dark brown to black and stinky.  Gross, I know.  Okay, enough of the potty talk.

Other than that I am cooking delicious healthy dinners for my family without much problem.  I have already noticed while on this journey that I am making better choices for my loved ones.  I want to protect them from harm and provide them with good nutrition too.  I am excited for day 23!

Day 23 – keeping busy is the key to avoid boredom on this cleanse. Boredom is often one of the side effects, and it definitely is in my case. It’s not like I don’t have a million things to do, but that they seem boring to me. It’s a very odd feeling indeed! I started implementing colon massage last night. Stanley Burroughs used massage a lot in eliminating toxins. I noticed my eliminations were double the amount so I will continue with this new practice each night. I forgot to take my morning laxative tea and ended up feeling very ill and flu like by the afternoon. I even had to lie down for a few hours and almost puked. It went away as soon as I was able to go to the bathroom. Don’t forget your laxative teas and/or salt water flush each day. These toxins have to leave the body or it will make you sick! On a happy note I was down another pound today!

I'm three days off the cleanse. Already I am seeing symptoms of toxins still present. I feel out of sorts like I did when I first started the cleanse. I see what you mean about seeing full benefits the longer you stay on the cleanse. It took 45 years to build the toxic waste, how can you possibly expect it to be gone in just ten days. I have decided to give it another ten and will start on Monday…hopefully pick up where I left off!!

Hang in there and good luck with the start of your second cycle! In Tom Woslynn's book "Beyond the Master Cleanse" he states that he had to do the cleanse for 100 days in one year (ten day intervals) before he felt as good off of the cleanse as he did while on it. It may take a while, but you can do it. I feel that the benfits of feeling amazing and riding ourselves of disease far outway the sacrafice of giving up food for a bit. Let me know how your second cycle goes!

If you are reading this and are at day 20, please read my post on hair loss! I personally feel that going beyond twenty days played a significant role in me shedding my hair after the master cleanse. Good luck on your journey to health!
