Friday I had the pleasure of treating a family in our church to flowers to wear for their beloved sons funeral. The color yellow was chosen because the mother was given yellow flowers from her husband each time one of her seven children were born. Their oldest is in heaven now, a tragedy almost too much to bear. His life was taken from him by the hands of someone in Mexico. The US Embassy believes it was a kidnapping that went wrong.
I had the task of making ten corsages and four boutonnières. I wanted to use the yellow flowers as that represented something dear to the mother. I wanted to be somewhat creative and not have each one the same. I know this son, brother, and grandson touched each families life in his own way and felt each person should pick the flower that spoke to them. This way the tribute would be more special. Here are a few of my designs that I photoed. I will post a tutorial on a later date.
