Christmas Pom-Pom Garland DIY

Since moving I haven’t had time to create anything, which is like therapy to me. So today while I was going through crates of Christmas and setting up what I will keep for this home, I just had to get in a little self-therapy session by making some pom-pom garland or my mantel.

The idea came to me last Christmas when we were given a large container of Indoor Snowballs as a family Christmas gift. I know how expensive large pom pom’s can be and how time-consuming they are to make. When I saw them it was a crafters dream. Yes, we played snow ball fights with them too! I will now need to order more to replace this super fun game before the holiday vacation.

But today, I was on cloud nine turning these yarn snowballs into garland to complete my mantel Christmas scene.

You can find this beautiful “be merry” felt place mat at Target.

For this project you will need:

Indoor Snowballs 40 pk or Indoor Snowballs 20 Pack {depending on how many you would like to make, I used 10 for my mantle, however, added some to my stockings and will use more on my tree}

Large-Eye Blunt Needle

Hemp Twine Jewelry Bead String {you could also use very thin jute or hemp twine comes in a variety of colors}

2. Tie a knot to secure snow ball in place.

3. Measure 4 inches, tie knot, thread another snowball up to knot.

Continue Steps 1, 2, 3 again until you have enough pom-pom garland to go across your mantel.

And there you have it! Beautiful pom-pom garland. I haven’t seen pom pom’s this big for such a great price–ever. I love how huge they are and it looks great up next to my snow scene.
